Curious, unbiased and unafraid.
“Unbiased” is like sitting
in the middle of a seesaw, perfectly balanced with no anxiety or concerns ...
just quiet yet alert, observing with curiosity. Bias or judgment is like moving
to one of the ends of the seesaw which then automatically activates an
experience of polarity. Now, there is one-and-the-other, instead of just one. I
can continue to remain curious; I could feel new feelings — perhaps even
anxiety or some other form of fear. The shifting energies of polarity can be particularly
useful, like walking around an interesting three-dimensional sculpture and
seeing and feeling the contrast and diversity from different perceptual
attitudes and stances. There is no need to bring anxiety, worries or concerns
with me as I ponder the play and movement of the art of life and living. I can
move back to the middle of the seesaw with this new experience’s information
which will shift me into yet another dimensional awareness, totally different
from where I was. This shifting is also rising. The middle of the seesaw, the
unbiased state or attitude of non-judgement, is being — it is life; moving to a
polarized position is doing — which is living. Thus, I can see and participate
in the universe as a function similar to the interplay of wave and particle; wave,
and then particle; life, living, life, living, being, doing, being, doing;
resting and playing, resting and playing, and rising, happily ever after.
