Upcoming Skeptico Podcast

August has been invited by well-known podcaster Alex Tsakiris to join him for an upcoming Skeptico* show. We will let you know when the recorded cast and accompanying transcript are available. In the meantime, take a look at some of the awesome guests he's had on past shows.

*According to Alex, "the name Skeptiko comes from the ancient Greek philosophy of Skeptikos, and refers to the teachings and the traits of a school of philosophers of whom it was said 'asserted nothing but only opined'."
His agenda: "Figure stuff out. Dig into the research data. Explore the possibility that the existing materialistic paradigm might be overturned (and may already be at a tipping point). Talk to really smart people on both sides of the issues. Treat all guests with respect." (Alex has assured me "I'm on your side.")

"Creativity is the principle of novelty. Creativity introduces novelty into the content of the many, which are the universe disjunctively. The creative advance is the application of this ultimate principle of creativity to each novel situation which it originates. The ultimate metaphysical principle is the advance from disjunction to conjunction, creating a novel entity other than the entities given in disjunction.
