True Nature

Humility is not thinking less of yourself,
it's thinking of yourself less.
~ Rick Warren

Many of my therapy patients say they want to change, but they can’t, because the way things are “is just my nature.” To change would mean movement, and when there is movement in one’s life — which is growth — it’s often interpreted by the ego-mind as discomfort. This belief can be changed to realize that growth can feel good, like shedding increasingly tightening clothing. To Authentic Self, which is always at rest, it feels like stretching spiritual "muscles" — which feels good and affirming. When we are increasingly able to tune into Spirit's gentle offers of assistance, we simultaneously begin to feel relaxed. This spiritual relaxation is a form of surrender, as Authentic Self, into the never-absent arms of Creator Source.

Here is a very powerful prayer inspired by the Risen that I've never shared with anyone before, but perhaps now is a good time. It may look and sound plain and innocuous, but that is the ego-mind's perception. Move past such thoughts. It is so powerful that I can barely explain the depths to which it reaches and pulls out of us that within which is our True Reality — our True Nature. Here it is:

"All praise and glory to God!"

(I also say "Creator Source" as well as "God" but any label of meaning is sufficient.)

If it makes you feel uncomfortable or uneasy, then that means it's working to clear out the dust and gunk that's been clogging up you spiritual vascular system. If you really want to speed up the de-gunking, get on your knees and say it. If you notice that your legs are actually resisting bending, you have indisputable evidence that there's something very powerful at work and that the ego-mind is doing the resisting. At that point, you might want to add, "I trust in God" as well. One of the things this prayer does is to break down and dissolve "crystallized ego-matter" in a way that most likely will feel what can only be called "humiliation" - which is what's needed to happen in order to reach humility.

Repeat this without ceasing until you are practically breathing it, waking up with it, and going to sleep with it.  Say it just before taking action on anything. Try putting the emphasis differently on each word, and note the difference in feeling. Find the frequency to tune into that is your unique relationship with your Highest Power.

And then wait and watch for some miracles.

Friends at Midnight

Fractal Leaves, by mesmerising

"O SON OF BEING!   Thou art My lamp and My light is in thee. Get thou from it thy radiance and seek none other than Me.  For I have created thee rich and have bountifully shed My favor upon thee."

Several readers have been asking to hear more about Kaufmann, and how they might be able to connect with him. He was briefly introduced in The Risen:
“Erich Kaufmann, a medical doctor in early 19th century Germany, responded one night to a request to Spirit about back pain. While falling asleep, I was suddenly awakened by an abrupt, booming voice in the dark that barked out, ‘Kaufmann here!’ Nothing else happened, and I drifted back to sleep. Again the voice suddenly shouted, ‘Sensitive! Extremely sensitive here!’ I then felt someone poking and squeezing my back—in the morning I was completely pain free. A few months later, he showed up with Tim, who, to my surprise, was studying healing with him.” (The Risen, p. 173)
Since then, Kaufmann has responded, along with others from his healing collective, to my requests for help. In my case, it’s always been some kind of acute pain, but I’m certain that all other bodily problems and complaints would be addressed as well if asked. Kaufmann's focus appears to be primarily on physical medical issues – he's part of a large team of like-minded Risen, also physicians of some kind, who will, with one's permission, intervene and help one's body heal. They are also very focused on teaching one how to maintain health on one’s own. All one has to do is ask, but there must be insistence and persistence, which is important in raising the vibratory energies that will enable them to connect with you. A single and weakly whimper for help will not suffice.

This kind of rigorous asking is "intention with attention," a building and affirmation of faith, a very high state of conscious vibration. Keep in mind as well that while there might be a response we could call an instantaneous remission, in most cases, there will be a perceived delay in the healing. This delay is usually interpreted by the ego-mind as a “no” and then its usual temper tantrums will set in, effectively shutting of the flow of healing. Most of us in this 21st century have developed expectations of materially instant gratification – which is completely opposite of spiritually instant gratification. If we are coming from an ego-mental position, then we are standing on the outside and expecting the outside to deliver the goods, but it cannot; we are not looking inward, which is where the outside comes from, or is the causation of the outside. We must go inside to ask from where Reality is, with complete confidence (faith, not fear or worry) that the outside will then manifest in a way that conforms exactly to our request. Then we must wait, just as we must wait for the planted seed to germinate, arise, appear and grow.

There are parables in the Bible that seek to metaphysically illustrate the importance of this kind of prayerful demanding, which is necessary to dissolve any interfering unbeliefs, doubts, worry and anxiety that one’s asking will not be answered. Two of these include “The Parable of the Insistent Friend” (or the more romantically entitled, “The Friend at Midnight"), which we quote further down for its exquisite strength and beauty of direct language. Another similar metaphysical directive is found in the Parable of The Persistent Widow (Luke 18:1-8).

In fact, if one examines the Bibilical processes closely, it will be seen that there is never a question mark associated with the word “ask.”  We are told (not asked)  to “ask” in a direct and confident way. “Ask and you shall receive.”  Not “may I please have some more?” but rather, and most boldly and fearlessly: “I ask, insist and demand more.” There is always enough to go around, for the Universe is nothing but abundance. Witness the “great waste” of Nature’s lavish abundance: dozens instead of just one flower on the stalk; all the uneaten fruit fallen beneath the trees;, all the countless eggs of fish in the sea – which, if ever all successfully hatched, would displace the water in the ocean; all the innumerable stars in the countless galaxies; all the never-ending ideas which continually inspire us to grow and evolve toward more abundance, and more prosperity! The Universe does not limit; we do. Which means we can also undo the limitation, the blockage to flow, and congestion of energy. Only we can do that; the Universe can only accept and comply our request. "Request" also means "demand."

Note that we are not directed to specifically ask “God” — but to simply and outrightly ask the Unnameable Within. Demanding or commanding encompass both asking and receiving, combining them simultaneously. This coinciding transcends time and space by synchronizing them into one event, thus resolving the dilemma of duality and allowing the “miracle” to be.

Kaufman and his team, and indeed, all those fully Risen, and even ourselves still enthroned upon the Earth, are commanded by Creator Source to not only demand back — to ask — but to receive. At a certain point in our higher evolution, or what the Risen bid me label as “transmutation,” we no longer need to ask, but evolve to exist in a constant state of receptivity to the flow of ever-persistent Life, which requests that we do nothing but remain open to Its Giving. And in so doing, we are then joined with It as One, and thus become Givers, or more succinctly, “Gifters.” Thus is fulfilled the prophecy that “to give is to receive.”
Authentic Self can imagine experiences that appear to call for endurance if It so desires. But its nature is to enjoy rather than endure an experience. “Enjoy” is not meant here as the ego-mind’s concept of getting joy out of something. Rather, putting joy into something is what Authentic Self brings to the table of experience, at which It serves as the Good Steward. For the Good Steward, to enjoy is to give. To reside and rest in the feeling of authentic enjoyment is Authentic Self’s motivation. Joy is another word for that which gives life, or Original Creator Source, which is never-ending and unceasingly pours into one’s universe through the channel of Authentic Self. When joy is withheld from outflowing, the feeling of life shuts down. Depression, illness, and the eventual cessation of material existence are the resulting effects. (The Risen,  p. 311)

Parable of the Persistent Friend (Luke 11:5-8)

And He said to them, “Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him’; and he will answer from within and say, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you’? I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

As a kind of aside or afterword — many readers contact us with all kinds of wonderful questions, and in every instance, the question has been addressed and answered in the book. After we direct them to the exact spot in the book, it’s not uncommon to hear that it had been “totally missed,” somehow. Many have no memory about reading about Kaufmann. We framed our guidance about engaging with what could be called the “living material” with the phrases “worlds within worlds,” “info-sphere” and “spirit between the lines” and continue to do so, with the added suggestion to re-read, if not particular chapters, then the whole book again. In spite of his most intimate relationship with the material, August continues to reread certain parts himself.

Tim continues to make contact - thanks to Rob in Australia for relaying a special message from him; also to another good friend down South who just had a mediumistic reading, and reports Tim came through and gave guidance for about an hour on certain issues.

As promised, and to help those who would like to have the visual to better enable contact with Kaufmann, here he is:

The Dawn Has Come

“Death is not extinguishing the light; it is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.”
~ Rabindranath Tagore ~

Tim has finally been able to get back closer to the Earth plane for a bit - enough to make all kinds of fun contact. I wonder if Samhain is coming earlier this year? Some of you know that he recently materialized his entire arm and hand in my bed, waking me and the disgruntled cats up. Also, a few days ago, I was taking a quick "cat nap" in the office between sessions, and didn't realize that my phone alarm had not been set correctly. Of course, I had quickly fallen into a deep sleep, totally unaware. Exactly 5 minutes before my patient was to arrive, Tim woke me up instantly by softly saying "Boo!" in my right ear. This is particularly exciting because I've been slowly working toward developing direct voice mediumship. Also, a close friend reports being contacted by Tim during a time of great duress; when asked to prove his identity, Tim was able to convey our secret code word without saying it - he mimed it - he always was great at Charades! My friend did not know we had a code word, so this was wonderful validation. Since he transitioned even further beyond his initial Risen geography, it's been much more difficult and complicated for us to connect in the old meaningful ways we're used to. But the Universe is built upon change, which is transition.

Which includes my own career, in which I find myself rapidly transitioning. A year and half ago I was giving friends what seemed to be perfectly true and rational reasons why I couldn't do what I'm doing now. It's happening anyway, in spite of my efforts otherwise. And I'm thrilled, excited, trying not to throw up all at the same time. Suddenly, ideas are coming into my head, albeit shadowy and not fully formed, that portend new windows and doors, even new dimensions of life I've never consciously entertained. I feel like I've been waking up from some kind of dream. R. Tagore's quote also applies here, for the lamp one believes one must keep burning against the fear of change, loss or death is no longer necessary, for one realizes that one IS the lamp.

One reason I'm happy for this new adventure is that it may finally give me back some time to continue work on the two new Risen books in progress.

I recently watched "Midnight in Paris" for the first time, and I just loved it. It seemed to have messages for me, including caution about the tantalizing nature of nostalgia, and longing not to be present, but in the "golden age of the past" .... which, if I'm interpreting Tim's suppositions correctly, is quite dangerous. For if we continue to pine for and dwell in the good old days, when we transition, we will wake up in those days, seemingly reincarnated -- not on the original Earth, but in a trap of our own devising. We will do this over and over until we realize the mistake we're making; at that point, and if we ask for help, the Risen will be able to step in and lead us to the true safety of a new Reality. My being able to communicate with the Risen can only happen when I surrender by letting go of what holds me, and open myself up by asking for help. We must always ask for assistance for everything - this has been slowly dawning on me - because otherwise we will reinforce the isolating misbelief that we are Alone, instead of dwelling in and as the All-One, or Creator Source.

A fair number of friends have shared various concerns about their health, and worrying about eating the right things. Food is spiritual substance, of which we are made from as well. Our beliefs about food make it good or bad. All the microbes in our body are also spiritual substance, and will co-exist in Divine Harmony if we understand that Creator Source cannot, in truth, be divided against Itself. If we are injecting negative thoughts of fear and evil into our body, the microbes, and every organ, will become confused and afraid. If anyone is ever concerned or in pain, I recommend they reach out to Spirit and especially ask for my Risen colleague, Dr. Erich Kaufmann - however, he only likes to be called "Kaufmann", otherwise he gets annoyed. You also have to really, really want his help, so one has to be a kind of pest and keep repeating over and over and over, "Help me, Kauffmann...I need your help now, Kauffman." It appears he has found that only if someone really, really wants help and believes in letting another loving being help them, will his response and efforts have effect and not be wasted. I actually have a photo of him, which is over 100 years old, that he caused to be brought to me in the way Spirit orchestrates such things, and will try to scan it and post here soon.
