In Progress: "Risen on Earth": Winter: Air – Inhaling – Processing – Rising

Winter:  Air – Inhaling – Processing – Rising
 Withdrawal – Waiting – Transformation

Our first snow today in New York City . . . impossibly early, impossibly big flakes coming down for a few hours this morning, weighing down the branches in worrying ways, which still have leaves on them. The quiet that has settled on the forest rises from the transformed water and brings an exquisite hush to the air and light. There are no signs of the snow stopping yet.

(The following is part of an on-going series of entries from the raw material that is being transmitted by the Risen Assembly, and discerned by August and Tim, and may be finding its way into their next book, Risen On Earth.)(© Tempestina Teapot Books 2011)

Suffering arises from the false sense of untrue duality, which yet remains ever a mystery to most of us embodied on this plane, and one few are able to solve. A most powerful question, it seems to me, is, "Can I learn through joy rather than suffering?" This also seems to compound the mystery, and to confound the thinking mind; perhaps this is necessary. The Risen do not think or use thoughts, which arise from an earthly, terrestrial ego-mind. What an incredible, awesome experience of interacting with, and observing others, without thought! And here appears a clue to the answer to the original question about suffering, which is that without thought, there is only joy. Joy is the sun which always shines. Thought blocks and distort the light of Truth, which is joy itself.
I, too, am becoming more and more convinced that these terms, "risen, rising" -- which appear to be rather new in referencing survival and the afterlife -- are finding increasing validation in many ways. I sometimes have worried that I was discerned those terms incorrectly, as the living information coming to me from Tim and others was vast, complex, deep, layered (infospheres). Only yesterday I was reading a rather hard book to find by the Christian New Thought mystic, Neville Goddard, called "Immortal Man." His language is often veiled in ways that are hard to understand - although I am fairly good with metaphysical language - and he says that he does not support reincarnation as the world teaches it...for scripture does not teach it. It does teach a second birth, which is resurrection. He elaborates that all people living on earth are "dreaming a dream" which for most, does not terminate when they die...they are instead restored to life in a world just like this terrestrial one (but is not actually it, but like it) - but eventually we will all "awaken as God", and this is what is meant by the son resurrecting.  This all dovetails perfectly with what Tim brings forth in the chapter on reincarnation on our book. If we awaken - by correcting the imbalance brought about by a dominating ego-mind - we will continue on in this awakened state when the body dies - and this awakened transition is Rising.

Dying to Be Me.

Here is an interview with our dear friend, Anita Moorjani, who experienced a complete, spontaneous remission of her terminal cancer following an NDE in 2006. We are thrilled that she is able to not only put her incomprehensible experience into comprehensible language, but that it validates so much of the Risen material, including the purpose of being and beingness, how we are responsible for choosing our own thoughts about our self, the nature of beliefs and how they form our world, and how race-consciousness beliefs form our shared reality; identifying those from ego-mind that are running (and ruining) our life; how time is used on Earth; what sounds like her ongoing process in understanding the "pastime of reincarnation" and a lot more. Rather than elaborate on any specific resonances with the Risen transmission, we prefer to let Anita's words speak for herself. This is also our approach to finding our answers to our own questions, by referring to one's own experience as the basis of authority of Authentic Self. Perhaps her sharing will also help clarify some of the Risen offerings as well.

Her book, which will be released in March 2012, and can be pre-ordered, is Dying To Be Me: My Journey from Cancer, to Near Death, to True Healing.

Thanks to Rob for bringing this wonderful material to our attention, who adds that her experience "highlights the importance of our state of ‘being’ rather than the need to physical pursue some life ‘attainment.' "

Chapter 10: Wake Up!

The Nightmare, by Henry Fuseli, 1781

A diligent reader of The Risen, Martin, writes to us:
"I'm re-reading Chap 10 ... It's taking longer than I expected … as you said, this material is very hard to focus on. I think your book is very dense with information that is completely unfamiliar to most people's experience and is hard to read. But your remark that the ego-self is actively fighting this knowledge is very interesting and something I had not thought of before."
Martin -

Our book addresses the fact that doubting is often the first thing that comes up when reading Chapter 10 - and that this is the ego-mind stepping in to try to derail your journey to freedom, with its suggestions that you're crazy, or foolish, what nonsense, wishful thinking, etc.(1) It's often difficult for most of us to disengage the ego-mind's grip on our thinking, as it wants to do our thinking for us. Many people succumb to the ego-mind's suggestions and then make its beliefs their beliefs, instead of ruling their own inner kingdom of Authentic Self.  Chapter 10 discusses in depth how to deal with the ego-mind after shining the light of Truth on it. This light is that there is no death . . . period. The chapter is often difficult for many because it's so hard to pin down the ego-mind, which is so good at lying. Most people are unaware of this great deceiver, and it will even make it hard to concentrate on the reading. But we must deal with it so we can still its lies and then hear the truth of the living voices of our loved ones. The works of Ernest Holmes can be very helpful in learning how to use thought correctly as well.

Everything you report is completely expected, so no worries or judgments, just encouragement and kudos to you for staying with it. Chapter 10 encapsulates, in a very small space, several millennium of the deepest of higher vibrating information generally unavailable to the majority of humanity as it exists in its unawakened state. Finding language to do this was exceptionally difficult, being transmitted by non-embodied people, and taking nearly 8 years. Ego-mind has put each person to sleep, a learning process which begins fairly soon after a person's physical birth. Our parents /caretakers teach us, or rather, their ego-minds teach us to tune out of Reality and into unreality; in turn, we are taught to teach others the same lies while reinforcing them in our sleeping self. Chapter 10 addresses how to begin to wake up to regain true awakened consciousness, the state we were each born to begin with. Many readers will reject or ignore it, as directed by their ego-mind. Others will struggle, which is like trying to wake up from the sleep paralysis accompanying a nightmare. It is much easier to go back to sleep.

When we transition, we will have awakened much more because ego-mind cannot go with us once the physical body is left. But if you are basically still asleep when you transition, your awakening on the new side many have many challenges. These challenges can be dispensed earlier on if we strive to awaken before we transition. Our transition, then, will be much more light-filled, brilliant, exhilarating, and Real.  As well, being in this awakened state while still embodied on Earth may very well enable us to begin communicating with those who exist in higher vibrating states, such as those who are Risen.

As Tim loves to say, "Onward, ho!"
(1) As a perfect example of an ego-mind response to the material, one reviewer of the book at Amazon shared,"I purchased this book because I am interested in learning more about the possible after-life, but this "book" is nothing but the ramblings of what must be a bi-polar or split personality writer. Why it took SO MANY pages to say NOTHING is beyond me. This was a waste of money. If you enjoy reading a rambling narrative which leads nowhere and could have been done in one tenth the number of words, knock yourself out! "
Here we see a direct and irrational command from an ego-mind for the struggling, awakening Self to become unconscious!

Alien Contact in the 21st Century

One of my dearest friends, Marc, is featured in James Carman's upcoming excellent documentary, "The Hidden Hand - Alien Contact in the 21st Century." He is on a panel with other people talking about their experiences with aliens. It will be premiering in New York City on October 21st. I was honored to have attended a private screening of the film in January of 2010 at A.R.E. and later spent time with James afterwards to discuss his work (see our past blog about this event.)

The screening is at 7 pm with Q&A for the director afterward. At 6 pm there will be a Press Conference with Whitley Strieber, Richard Dolan and Linda Moulton Howe, who will also be presenting at the FIONS Conference the next day in NYC (Friends of the Institute of Noetic Science.)

Complimentary tickets will be given to the FIRST 300 people to respond  by emailing Alan Steinfeld.

From The Archives: Risen Egg

[First posted July 19, 2010]

A reader writes:
Dear August,
I've been reading your blog for a little while now and find it fantastic and you to be the genuine article from what I know of this field. Good job on it!
Your recent post about your friend materializing is compelling to say the least. One thing in particular: the notion that you got that he was working with some sort of spiritside science group, and that he used a piece of seeming "technology" to communicate with them. This jives wholesale with the work of Mark Macy and ITC etc. and their spiritside contacts with Timestream Station. Are you familiar with them?
On another note, the post about the people dying in a store who were so frightened of death and what had happened to them that they instinctively reverted to children looking for their parents, crying and panicking, is heartbreaking and scary too. Why hadn't the "system" of the afterlife do you think not provided them with a peaceful transition, a helper, etc.? Good thing that you were there but it seems a little cruel to me that anyone would have to be obliterated by fear like that.
Cordially, SJV

Thanks, SJV, for your thoughtful words and wonderings. We appreciate that you are able to find things of interest in our blog, perhaps even our book, which goes into much more detail about Tim's work with technologists, scientists, and other like-minded souls. Indeed, the project of the book was brought into manifestation by a cooperative of two such groups, The Risen Collective and The Risen Assembly, as noted in The Authorship. We've been very aware of much of the work of the various ITC researchers over many years, and find much pleasurable interest in it, especially such as that found in Rob Smith's work in Australia. It has become clear that the technology of those in the Risen "geographies" — as we tend to label them — is as far beyond that of anything currently on the terrestrial plane as light is from shadows.

The story of the WTC victims who regressed back into the forms and minds of children is in the book, among many reasons, to help illustrate much of the psychology that underpins The Risen. Just because someone has a grown, adult body does not mean a grown, adult person inhabits it. It may at first sight seem a cruelty, or some might even say an injustice, that the people were "left" or "abandoned" as the frightened children they were. Yet we are finally growing more aware of and more used to the idea that we form our lives, our worlds and universes around us; we are responsible for those forms, we are responsible for how we use them to live our lives, and for the very environments we choose to manifest. This is the most primary and lowest meaning of "free will" — beyond which, most of us have none to speak of, for we have not earned it.

In this case, they may have seemed lost, but only in their minds. If you've ever been around someone who is seriously mentally ill or impaired, you may have experienced them as if they weren't fully there, or aware of anything beyond the small, self-circumscribed and maintained walls of isolation. You may try many ways to reach them, get their attention, and make them understand that the walls are an illusion — but they are too lost to see or hear or feel your words, or your world. We might even say that the situation is "cruel." It is truly heart breaking.

From a higher-vibrating viewpoint, there is no "cruelty" at all, but rather a nonjudgmental viewpoint expanded by the greater compassion found in the higher levels of awakeness. Most of us have seen a little child, so young that there is no understanding of the world about them, how it works, what things mean on a higher level, and yet they are without fear and so full of curiosity that we have to stay close by to make sure they don't get hurt — for would they listen to our words of warning? Could they? And many of us have seen the same child, full of fear and worry, totally lost in its feelings of isolation from the world about it, blind and deaf to anyone who might try to comfort it. Comfort will come, but rarely instantly, for the child must first reach a point of feeling safe and seen again. "Where's mommy where's mommy where's mommy? Oh, there you are!" This takes time, something we have plenty of on Earth, and so eventually they are calm again, and have probably learned something about their world.

So it was with these poor, frightened people. They were too lost to see that many highly-vibrating Risen rescuers were right there, waiting to be seen, heard, and felt. Because time works so differently beyond the terrestrial planes, it could have taken many earthly centuries before they calmed down enough to be able to come to their new spiritual senses. This is why "spirit rescuers" are utilized, who, while in their astral bodies, are a kind of "hybrid" between terrestrial human and Risen — partially Risen, in a way — and can often be sensed, heard and seen by those trapped by their own fears and ignorance. If they are able to hear and accept even a little new information and then some instruction, it's often enough to propel them beyond the walls of their prison, or often, the rescuer can help them pass over, by passing them, like a bucket brigade, over to a higher realm. The butterfly is gently helped out of its stuck position in the cocoon. Transition to a beautiful new way of living can, at last, begin. And nobody knows exactly what will emerge from a Risen egg, but it will be unique, loving, and loved.

Substitute any of the synonyms for the word describing "position" in the cocoon — situation, spot, point, locus, station, stance, pose, arrangement, attitude, opinion, policy, stance, perception, side, attitude, thinking, outlook — and we can begin to see the deeper implications of the consequences of self-imposed beliefs and fears.

There was also the clear vision and understanding of the Risen who were standing by, that because there is no death, there cannot possibly by any thoughts of "obliteration," much less any truth to such an idea. There are so many spiritual "systems" in place to aid such people in distress that the complexity and subtle brilliance of them are interwoven into the most complex tapestries of love and service hardly imaginable. Nobody is forced to be who or where they are; nobody can intervene, or make changes, or interfere in any way until asked; and then, nobody is ever refused — ever. Those small "children" were too paralyzed by their own fear to be even able to ask for help, but their spiritual instincts were at least able to find and bring them to what was sensed as safety, if only for a little bit.

Mediumistic Psychotherapy

Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart...
Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.
~ Carl Jung ~

Having mediumistic gifts is ever a blessing and a challenge. While the experiences they bring provide greater insight into the unseen cosmos of which we are an inseparable part, they also offer opportunities for personal expansion and growth of our individuality. These opportunities often go unnoticed due to unconscious personal blocks and defenses, including shyness, over-aggrandizement, self-doubt, worry, and frustration, all which hinder greater immersion into the mediumistic experience as well as personal evolution. One’s own past also may contain less-than-positive physical, mental, emotional and psychological developmental experiences that have become entrenched in the present life, preventing us from achieving greater self-acceptance and compassionate understanding of others. This kind of baggage is simply not necessary anymore. We would like to help.

August has been in private practice for many years as a licensed and credentialed psychotherapist in New York City. Because of his years of experiential study and comprehension of the psychospiritual aspects of mediumship, he has been asked by his Risen guides to provide his services as a mediumistic psychotherapist to those individuals who are also mediumistic, and wish to gain increased insight into their own personal processes that may be hindering their progress as mediums and, more precisely, their spiritual self-awareness and beingness.

These private and confidential therapeutic sessions are not meant to provide instructions or lessons on how to be a medium, nor to provide readings, but intended for those mediums who want to achieve higher vibration of awareness of self and of the other spiritual dimensions. Identifying blocks or incomplete development will underlie the goals. Our cooperative and intense but gentle, careful exploration into the inter-vibrational aspects of mediumship may indeed bring increased development of one’s mediumistic abilities, while activating those that are still latent, by fine-tuning the spiritual senses to formerly hidden, personal interpenetrating realities.

What Is This Book About?

"One of the most important principles of quantum physics is that two isolated, remote particles can have an instantaneous effect on one another because these two remote objects can become entangled. This is known as nonlocality and has given rise to the quantum physics concept of nonlocal space: a multidimensional space, with nothing but possibilities ... and without certainties, without matter, and without a role for time and distance. Everything in this space is uncertain, and physicists can carry out neither measurements nor observations. The nonlocal space represents a hidden reality that,  at the quantum level, exerts a continuous influence on our physical world, which is the complement of nonlocal space."  ~ Pim van Lommel, MD, Consciousness Beyond Life: The Science of the Near-Death Experience

August and Tim continue to 'splain all about The Risen:

Although the above quote really quite sums up much of our book in many ways, don't worry. The Risen is not about difficult quantum mechanics! It does, however, contain countless hidden levels, doors and windows, stories, worlds and lands, and many, many voices. August and Tim are like two remote objects that have become forever entangled because of their love. Quantum physics is, ultimately, telling us that love accomplishes, in invisible ways, things that seem like miracles to us here on the visible earth. The Risen are people like us but, also seemingly miraculously, no longer on the earth: they have risen. There are many extreme differences between the Risen and the non-Risen, and this book was manifested to attempt to introduce ideas, ways and means to understand and even change some of those differences ... to become more entangled with the Risen, and to realize how entangled one might already be.

And it is also about grief and loss, which is usually what brings us humans to this point of asking "why?" and "now what?". We know  that one can be led to personally experience that grief can be transformed into joy, which is also a transition to a new life and way of  living. This book is for those who have not yet fully shut down, but still open to change for the better.

A great deal of the primary differences between the Risen and non-Risen are psychological, or more precisely, psychospiritual in nature. This book could be seen as a kind of "psycho/spiritual/logical" textbook and guide that introduces perhaps very alien Risen behavioral and developmental concepts about what a human being is, and the mental and emotional aspects that are interfering with being psychologically free enough to dispense with fear, in order to then spiritually connect with previously hidden or unsensed realities and other aware, alive, conscious beings in those realities.

Be advised:  this book is not "Mediumship 101" or "Afterlife for Dummies" — nor is it meant for Dabblers and Confirmed Skeptics. As the well-known journalist Michael Tymn has noted, "As with me 20 years ago, the boggle threshold of most people is probably too low to fully understand and appreciate what August, Tim, and the advanced Risen Ones have to say about the greater reality, but to the serious student of metaphysics this book has much to offer."

It has taken August nearly 8 years of almost-daily endeavor to help the Risen group bring this book into this world, and he also has had to struggle with new concepts, while letting go of old ones. Putting it into comprehensible written language was probably the greatest challenge of all, as the Risen do not use words as we do, if they ever use them at all. Perhaps this is why Riley Heagerty, the noted spiritualist historian, commented that the book " ... is written so well, it establishes what I can only say is a new 'Risen vernacular,' employing a sharp, daring and constantly interesting command of the English language."  Written well — yes. Quickly understandable — no.

So it is not unexpected that in this "Age of Instant Gratification" many readers may not have or even want the experience or skills necessary to endure the mystification, perplexity, and even anxiety this challenging book may stimulate. Yet these are actually positive effects, and direct evidence of how the Universe mysteriously stimulates us to creatively move from inert spiritual couch potatoes to someplace else wholly different. However you decide to travel, Tim and I wish you well on your journey, and want you to rest in the knowing that you are never alone.

Apparent Death is a Resurrection

I know that every apparent death is a resurrection; therefore, gladly I die to everything that is unlike the good. Joyfully, I am resurrected into that which is beautiful, enduring, and true. Silently, I pass from less to more, from isolation into inclusion, from separation into oneness. Today, realizing that there is nothing in my past which can rise against me, nothing in my future which can menace the unfoldment of my experience, I know that life shall be an eternal adventure. I revel in the contemplation of the immeasurable future, the path of eternal progress, the everlastingness of my own being, the ongoing of my soul, the daily renewed energy and action of that divinity within me which has forever set the stamp of individualized Being on my mind.

Mr. Banks: Just a moment, Mary Poppins. What is the meaning of this outrage?
Mary Poppins: I beg your pardon?
Mr. Banks: Will you be good enough to explain all this?
Mary Poppins: First of all, I would like to make one thing quite clear.
Mr. Banks: Yes?
Mary Poppins: I never explain anything.

Upcoming Skeptico Podcast

August has been invited by well-known podcaster Alex Tsakiris to join him for an upcoming Skeptico* show. We will let you know when the recorded cast and accompanying transcript are available. In the meantime, take a look at some of the awesome guests he's had on past shows.

*According to Alex, "the name Skeptiko comes from the ancient Greek philosophy of Skeptikos, and refers to the teachings and the traits of a school of philosophers of whom it was said 'asserted nothing but only opined'."
His agenda: "Figure stuff out. Dig into the research data. Explore the possibility that the existing materialistic paradigm might be overturned (and may already be at a tipping point). Talk to really smart people on both sides of the issues. Treat all guests with respect." (Alex has assured me "I'm on your side.")
